Mechelen, 1 October 2026 – Carbon+Alt+Delete, the Belgian carbon accounting software for sustainability consultancies, has been nominated for Deloitte's 2026 Technology Fast 50 competition for technology companies headquartered and founded in Belgium. The Fast 50 award will be given to the country's fastest-growing technology company. As Carbon+Alt+Delete is active within the carbon reporting market, it shows that this market keeps growing. The Fast 50 measures revenue growth between 2022 and 2025, a period covering both the CSRD-driven boom of 2023 and 2024 and the slowdown that followed the Omnibus. Yet Carbon+Alt+Delete recorded its largest absolute growth in 2025.
About the company
Founded in 2020 in Mechelen by Kenneth Van den Bergh and Hanspeter Höschle, Carbon+Alt+Delete builds AI-powered carbon accounting software for sustainability consultancies, advisors and auditors. Carbon+Alt+Delete equips sustainability consultants with the tools to calculate corporate carbon footprints rather than selling directly to companies. Currently Carbon+Alt+Delete has partnerships with more than 200 consultancies spread all over Europe supporting more than 2.000 companies with their carbon footprints.
Growth in a changing market
“This nomination is a recognition of the great work of our team and the trust of our clients,” says Kenneth Van den Bergh, co-founder and CEO of Carbon+Alt+Delete. “But it also says something about the carbon reporting market. Carbon reporting remains a growing market, also after the Omnibus. Stakeholder pressure keeps pushing more and more companies to track their climate impact. The difference is the pace: growth is slower than many hoped or anticipated, and as a result it has become harder to win in this market.”
According to Kenneth, the winners in this market, whether software providers, advisors or auditors, do two things well. “They understand the precise business value of carbon reporting for their clients, and they sell that value instead of a vague compliance obligation. Besides that they deliver the quality that allows their clients to actually capture that value. Those are two things we keep working on every day.”
About the 2026 Technology Fast 50
The Technology Fast 50 competition is an annual selection of the 50 fastest growing and innovative technology companies headquartered and founded in Belgium. Public or private companies that develop a technology-related product or service and have experienced substantial revenue growth over the last four years can enter the competition for their chance to be nominated as one of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in Belgium.
Companies that have been active in the technology sector for less than four years can participate in the special Rising Star category of the competition. These companies are judged by an independent jury on their turnover potential and scalability.
Participating in the Technology Fast 50 competition can help companies to develop their business by increasing their visibility and giving them access to the Fast 50’s unique network of highly successful executives.
